i took the exam for the 1st time today @arden hills dmv.. Even though we r given a specific time ,we ve to wait in the line..waited for 15 mins. came to the window whr i was asked to show my permit ,n insurance. after tht,i was asked to show my left,rt signal,break lights. then he handed me the forms,n told me to go in lane 1. went there n parked,in 5 mins ,an instructor came.. he was old,n grumpy coz he did not bother to say hello to me,n ask me how am i doing(basic etiquette) anyway,so i said hello,etc..then he asked me to show seat adjusment,belt,air,defrosters,headlites,hazard lites. then he told me few things which he'll be looking for ,like whetehr i m alert n looking around,he told me something aboout 4 lanes.which i didn't get,n asked him to reapeat,whn he asked me if i ve any qs for him.. ,which again he mumbled,i i thot forget it!! he's not in a mood to talk at all..Also i was wearing my goggles coz its sunny today..BUT he had to comment on tht too saying.its not easy for me to watch ur eyes etc with the goggs!! So i removed it. then he told me to get out of the parking n take rt turn..continued my drive,was told to do the 90 first,thn i did reverse,uphill parking.on all these ocassions he opens his doors n checks for the curbs..uphill is away frm curb , hand break.did tht. 1 BIG mistake for every1 to avoid is a road ,which is unmarked .there r no lines. I got into it,as if it were a 1 way.so be on the look out.UNLESS it says 1 way,assume its 2 way. i thot i was doing quite well,but in the end he said'you didnt quite pass'..he didnt tell me ,my points or anything. he expalined to me 3 mistakes on his board ,which i get it.but others?? did he just make it up.lol!! planning to give next month again..oh wht a waste of time..!! any others plz shares their experiences..would be helpfull..also would i get same instructor again???
